Amazing World of Gumball BAFTA Preview Screening
On Saturday 29th of April 2017 I hosted the Amazing World of Gumball BAFTA Preview Screening. The animated show is in it’s 5th series in the UK, which started airing on Cartoon Network on Monday 1st May. This was one of the most exclusive chances to see the show on the big screen before anybody else. Held at BAFTA in London, the event was attended by 3 members of the creative team. Creator – Ben Bocquelet, Series Director – Mic Graves and Executive Producer – Sarah Fell.
Screening and Q&A?
At the Amazing World of Gumball BAFTA Preview Screening we were treated to 3 episodes from the new series. After which we found out lots of interesting facts about the show and the audience got to ask some questions of their own. One of the best being when Ben was originally asked to put together ideas for the show he actually recycled a load of old characters he’d already been paid for.
I did manage to get a little screen time with the Gumball team which you can watch below. There is exclusive news of a collaboration with Don’t Hug me I’m Scared creators Becky and Joe. Watch to get a feel for what the Q&A session was like.
